We live out of town so my kids tend to run a bit wild. From time to time they come running home because they have been bitten by fire ants and usually just on the feet. They have been taught to run straight into some water (either the pond or to use the water hose) in order to get rid of any ants quickly.

Although they must have built up a certain immunity to these fire ants after being bitten often, they can still sometimes have a bit of a reaction and I went on line to find something I could keep handy for such times.
